Mental Health Services

In addition to providing medical services to patients in their homes, REM Health can also serve the needs of patients requiring mental health services. Our Mental Health Division is led by a Registered Nurse with a specialty in the mental health field.

Each patient receives an initial visitation and assessment. Then, in conjunction with the patient's doctor, a Plan of Care is developed. A team of trained visit nurses and home health aides are available to meet the individual's needs on a daily, weekly or as needed basis.

Millions of Americans suffer from clinical depression, drug and alcohol addiction or other mental illness. Often those individuals who are in need of home care for medical conditions also need mental health services. REM Health can provide both services. This type of care is effective from both a treatment and cost-savings perspective. Regular in-home visits from nurses can ensure compliance with a psychiatric medication regime and can allow the nurse to assess the patient's mental health condition in a consistent and on-going manner. Having such consistent attention to an individual's mental and physical condition may avert a crisis.
